Bored? Confused? Stressed? Don't know what to do? If you are, no need to worry since this blog will help you out. Here are some smart ways in which you can utilise your free time in the best possible way.
Introduction
These days, the government of most countries has requested everyone to stay home to prevent the spread of the disastrous "corona virus". At this time, most students feel dejected as they cannot attend classes like they did before, play sports outside, or even visit other countries. So, they sit in the homes and wait till it is over.
Students had so much free time in their hands, that they could not fully utilise it. But online school took some of that time. (Check out my blog on online school at the end of this blog)
But still many do not know how to spend the time left. Check out the ways in which you can use your leisure time.
#1 Read books..

The first way to spend your valuable free time is by reading. You have to read a lot and improve your reading skills. I am not only talking about the books you find in the library, which consists of different genre, but also newspapers, blogs, articles, and more.
All these will improve your reading skills, vocabulary, speaking skills, writing skills, and lots more. You could also do a research on a topic a day, which can enhance your knowledge.
You could keep a book separately for words you find difficult while reading and write its meaning below it.
#2 Learn a new language

One of the most enjoyable things to do at home is learning a new language. "Es asombroso". Learn that language which you want to learn. Try French, Spanish, Hindi, and the list is quite endless.
Try an app like Duolingo, which help you start.
If you know a language but weak at it, try improving it by watching movies, reading simple books, watching videos or tutorials of that language. You might it is hard at first but soon you will be amazed. "Essayez-le."
#3 Try new challenges

It is fun to add some challenges to your day. Not the challenges, in which you have to suffer, but the ones which give you some enjoyment. Try, for instance, to stick with one colour in a day, let's say you chose blue, wear blue clothes, paint with only blue and eat food which is blue.
You can also try the "Try Not to Laugh Challenge" for a whole day! Last to laugh wins the game. Go on, try one.
#4 Play a board/ card game

Do you have a board game you stored in your shelf, that you never used? Now is the right time to have some fun with your family. Maybe, you like playing cards. Well, take those too.If you don't, you could also try the online version of the game.
If you have a deck of playing cards, try performing some card tricks with your family. There are many tutorials on Youtube. If you do it right, you have got to see their shocked faces.
Remember, do not tell the secret!
#5 Play a musical instrument

It is a pleasure to play melodious songs on your instrument. You could also play your favourite pop songs that had gone. Music definitely has got its benefits. Once you have completed learning it ,you could perform it in front of your family.
#6 Watch movies or listen to music
If you don't have any instrument, you could also listen to songs of course. Download songs or listen to online, it is still great. A very famous app for songs is Spotify. Want to do something else? Movies is a good option. Turn on your T.V., increase the volume of your home theatre, and sit on your couch as you watch your favourite movies at home. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video will always be my favourite movie streaming app.
#7 Try learning to make your own snack or drink

I see that your mouth has watered after a glimpse of the picture above. You could also make the same. Subscribe to my blog if you want recipes of such. Once, you try tasting your snack, you would end up trying every piece of it. Try making a dates smoothie, or a good vanilla cake. You can always ask your parents for help and in turn you can help your mother to make your lunch and dinner.
#8 Exercise, meditate, or try yoga

If you are an early bird, then you should try exercising and yoga before you sip your morning coffee. It could be tiring in the first day but if you do it daily, it rejuvenates yourself so that you have a positive mindset for the day. I recommend 30 minutes to 1 hour a day would be enough, but you are free to go for more.
Meditation is another way to start the day with a positive attitude, along with that, it also helps you reduce stress.
#9 Grow plants

If you have too much stress and want to chill out, try a taste a nature in your room. Growing plants is like doing a project. Studies have shown that growing plant can boost your mood, productivity, concentration and creativity ,along with eliminating stress, and also clean indoor air, by making it fresh. It is definitely a thing worth checking out.
#10 Spend time with friends, family and relatives online

This is the time, where you miss talking to your friends at school and visiting your grandparents and relatives who live in a different country. "If you have a problem, you have its solution." You could always visit them online live, through video conferencing and talk like just the same as before but not physically present.
